- The MileSTONE Movement is an online campaign that aims to raise awareness for early screening for children at risk for Primary Hyperoxaluria.
Because kidney stones are uncommon in childhood, all children and adolescents who have symptoms of a kidney stone or are diagnosed with a kidney stone should be screened for Primary Hyperoxaluria.
Kidney stone symptoms may include:
Abdominal pain - sudden or severe
Pain when urinating
Blood in their urine
Urge to urinate often
Fever and chills
