OHF Talk Disclaimer and Terms of Use

Our rules are simple:

Member Conduct
At the OHF we encourage the free exchange or ideas about the subject of hyperoxaluria and oxalosis on which fellow website visitors would be interested. Discussing medical issues can be extremely emotional - especially when you have a crisis. Please be respectful of one another and allow for differences in opinions. Healthy disagreement is fine - spirited debate teaches us all, but personal attacks hurt feelings and won't teach anything positive. We encourage friendly participation from everyone!

Stay On Topic
Please stick to the subjects of hyperoxaluria, oxalosis, family issues, diet, and related issues. Please remember that our public forums can be read by adults and children, if you have a question about whether a post will be on topic or not, please send it to the Forum Moderator first, and we will be happy to help you.

Selecting Categories
Be sure to locate the best category to post your message in. If we find your message to be better placed in a different category, the OHF retains the right to move it. In addition, duplicated messages will be removed.

Medical Advice
The OHF assumes no responsibility for any medical advice or recommendations made on their mailing lists. Please do not post medical advice to the OHF Forums. You may discuss medical treatments or other solutions that worked for you but please phrase your remarks carefully.

Internet Safety
We encourage everyone who registers in our Forum to keep their email address private. If you leave your email address open for others to see, you are leaving yourself open to unwanted emails.

Commercial Postings, Advertising & Spam
Advertising, spam, junk email, and other such posts are not allowed on the OHF Forums. Posting such material to our Forums is grounds for banning. If you are not sure what spam or junk email is, please visit CAUCE's Website for more information.

It is acceptable to discuss products that have been of benefit to you that may be of interest to other forum members - this is not the same as posting advertising.

Copyright Laws
You agree to abide by all applicable local, state, national and international laws and regulations relating to the transmission of information on the Internet. Please do not post materials in violation of anyone else's copyright or intellectual property rights. In addition, any writings found in our Forums belong to its original owner and may not be copied without permission.

Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless the OHF and it's hosted sites, including its subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, employees, and consultants, from any loss, liability, claim, demand, damage, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) asserted by any third party due to or arising from or in connection with your use of or conduct on the OHF-Talk Forum.

Please Note:
The opinions and views expressed by the OHF Forum participants do not necessarily reflect those of the OHF, its officers, employees, consultants, assigns or affiliated organizations. The contents of messages are based on data submitted. The OHF takes no responsibility for the opinions of its Forum participants, or their postings.

The OHF reserves the right to expel any posts and/or participants and withhold publication of messages that we believe violate the spirit or intent of this Forum.

The OHF reserves the sole and unchallengeable right to amend the Terms of Use at any time without notice. The OHF also reserves the right to modify or discontinue the OHF-Talk Forum, temporarily or permanently, with or without notice.
